Community Involvement

Members of the REALTOR® Association of Southern Kentucky (RASK) don’t only sell homes in our community, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve.

Our signature event, REALTORS® Hope for Homeless was founded in 2011.  Our REALTORS® and Business Partners camp out for an entire weekend in tents (rain or shine) to collect non-perishable food items for children and families in need.  The food is distributed to H.O.T.E.L. Inc. and the family resource centers of our public school systems in Bowling Green & surrounding counties.  In 2015 we raised a record 30,000 pounds of food during the event.  A local country artist, Marty Brown, stepped up and collected food at one of his concerts for our event.  The community and local businesses step up more and more every year.

In 2014 we added a “Glow Run” that is held in October which helps to raise even more money for us to buy food to distribute to the school resource centers to help the children during the holiday months.    The public participation in this event was outstanding!  We hope to make it even bigger and better this year.

RASK has a Governmental Affairs committee that keeps members informed on local issues related to Real Estate. RASK hosts an annual Legislative Reception where we invite our legislators for an evening of relaxation and food.  It gives us a chance to talk to our legislator’s one on one about issues that concern our community and our real estate business.

Our Membership Services Committee holds an annual golf tournament for our REALTOR® members, Business Partners, & their clients.  Winners are determined by drawing the team out of a hat since it’s just for fun!
