Inspection and Enforcement Procedure Update

Published Monday, August 28, 2017

The Warren County Division of Stormwater Management is constantly striving to meet the requirements of our Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit issued to the county by the KY Division of Water and the federal Environmental Protection Agency.  Kentucky’s State Home Builders Association recently made comments on the proposed new permit from the Kentucky Division of Water (KDOW) which regulates/directs our local permit. As many of you have heard from our office recently, “changes to how we do what we do concerning the inspection of your job sites” require a change in the regulation(s) that are included in the permit. Our office would like to thank everyone locally, as well as at the state level, who took the time to review the draft permit while it was posted for public comment from July 3rd until August 2nd. If you did not have a chance to review that document, please contact our office at to request a copy.

Please contact our office if you have questions about KDOW’s response to the comments received during the public notice period which ended August 2nd. Responses should be posted on KDOW’s website where the draft permit was posted.
