Code of Ethics Training

About the Code of Ethics Training Requirement

Since 2001, REALTORS® have been required to take Code of Ethics to retain their membership. REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time.  The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. NAR'S Board of Directors approved a change to the Code of Ethics training requirement, extending it from every two years to every three years

The current Cycle 7 begins January 1, 2022 and ends December 31, 2024

Failure to complete training during any cycle will lead to revocation of membership and your REALTOR® membership rights, privileges and services will be suspended until the requirement has been satisfied.  While suspended, though your obligation to abide by the Code of Ethics continues, as does the obligation to pay dues.    IMPORTANT: This is a requirement of NAR not KREC.
